Written and compiled by Sue Poole

Paul Altvater was born January 29, 1925 in Ohio. He served in the United States Air Force with the rank of Private First Class.

Paul began working at Rohr in 1953 which was the same year he married Ms. Wesley Berry (sister of Bob, Chuck and Don Poole). The November 1956 issue of The AeROHRcrafter announced Paul's October 1956 advancement from Assembler-Structures General to Leadman, Pod and Strut, at the Riverside plant (page 24).

In February of 1983 Paul was working in Department 072 and was honored for 30 years of service. On August 15, 1983, Paul and Wesley renewed their marriage vows in Las Vegas, Nevada. He retired from Rohr in 1985 and moved to Twentynine Palms, California. Paul died on April 12, 1993 in San Bernardino County, California. He was buried at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California on April 16, 1993.
